Lightcone

Lightcone Privacy Policy

Effective 27 September 2026

Lightcone is a single-player strategy game for iPhone made by Joe Rinaldi-Johnson ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play it. The short version: we don't collect any.

What we collect

Nothing. Lightcone has no accounts, advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind, and it makes no network requests of its own. We never see who you are or how you play.

Purchases

A lab in London or Kyiv, on Easy or Normal, is free. If you unlock the full game, you buy it through the App Store and Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details or who you are. The game asks the App Store whether this Apple Account owns the full game, so it can be restored on your other devices.

What stays on your device

Game Center

If you're signed in to Game Center, the game reports your achievements and leaderboard scores to Apple's Game Center service so you can see them, and so your scores can appear on the leaderboards other players see. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Signing in is optional; you can turn Game Center off at any time in the Settings app, and the game works the same without it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to keep, share or delete. Your saved game stays on your iPhone until you start a new lab or delete the app. Your Game Center achievements and scores are kept by Apple; you can manage them, or delete your Game Center data, through Apple (see Apple's Privacy Policy).

Children

We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we don't collect personal information at all.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect in the app.
